COMMENTS: This is a huge stone for a pink tourmaline of this type
from Afghanistan. It is very brilliant, and also very dispersive,
showing distinct spectral color flashes. I even managed to
capture one in the photo in the upper right. This stone also
seems to have a fairly pronounced color change that ranges from being a
bit more saturated pink than the photo shows to a pleasing yellow or
slitly pinkish yellow under indoor incandescent light. I think I
was seeing a 90%+ color change in this stone, but it was hard to tell
with all the brilliance and diamond-like spectral flashes.
