IMAGES YOU ARE SEEING:  We do the best we can to provide a (one) good image and accurate description of each gemstone.  The written descriptions of color and clarity should be given more consideration than the photos.  Our computer monitor is meticulously calibrated for offset printing, which is the most universal standard.  If you are using yours the way it came from the factory, it is probably set to be far too bright and images will look washed out or faded.  The colors will also likely be incorrect.  If the gray backgrounds of my images display a more than a slight secondary color such as yellow, blue or magenta, your monitor is not adjusted correctly.

ADDITIONAL PHOTOS?   The latest trend in Thailand, where they have cheap labor, is to display numerous photos of each stone.  We prefer to keep our prices reasonable for everyone, rather than raising them to cover time invested in taking additional pictures, processing them, then uploading or emailing them.  That  extra work takes us away from cutting and is not offered as a free service.

HOW CAN I SEND PAYMENT?  We accept paypal sent the email address of or you can mail a check or money order to Daniel Stair at the address above.  Please verify stone availability before sending payment.

SPECIAL REQUESTS:  We are happy to try and cut a stone for you if we have the rough and what you ask for is not wasteful or something that nobody else would likely want.  With those things in mind, there is no obligation on your part to purchase the stone if you don't like what we come up with.  We tend to have a waiting list, so it may take some time to get to your stone.  If you are in a rush for some reason, please let us know.

WILL SOMEONE NEED TO SIGN FOR MY PACKAGE?  Yes, if it is over $200 in value or sent outside the U.S.A. via Global Express Mail or registered mail.  Please provide a secure mailing address where someone will be available to sign for the package.

WILL YOU CUT MY ROUGH, RECUT OR REPAIR MY STONE?  Generally, we are willing to consider that.  We charge $40/hour to cut stones that belong to other people and the process is entirely at your risk, not ours, because we have no way of knowing whether a stone is stable, or what treatments it has been subjected to.  Bad things do happen when cutting, though it is fairly rare.  We also do not cut ALL gemstones, so please email us prior to sending any stones so we can discuss the project(s).  The stones sent must also be of at least the value of the labor involved in cutting them.

Should you decide to purchase one of our stones, please review our return policy and terms of sale below.
